Mobile Services
What is our “mobile service?”
Whether you live in a big city high-rise, across a lake or on a remote mountainside, we are ready to bring our “shop” to you! Since we started our mobile service, we have travelled many miles across Alberta and British Columbia. If you live in a rural area, it could potentially cost you thousands to have your piano moved to our shop in Calgary. Many pianos still get shipped to our shop for an extended stay, but sometimes this may not be necessary. So why not put your money towards the actual work being done on your instrument, rather than moving costs? Even in local areas, why pay for multiple trips between our shop and your home when you can have all the work done on site? Previously, we transported pianos, actions, keys and various parts to our shop for repair and then back to our clients homes. This is typically how it is done. But now we provide the option to carry out those larger projects right on your property. Although we are fully insured to transport customer goods back and forth to our shop, your precious instrument may not have to leave your sight! In some situations this makes a lot more sense and is more cost efficient. We also have discovered that many clients are very interested in our work and enjoy experiencing the process! Our fully equipped and stocked mobile shop allows us to work efficiently in our designed space rather than across your living room floor or kitchen table! We have used this service for 1/2 day projects, which would fall under routine maintenance or optimization and for longer projects (of a week or more) that involve various aspects of rebuilding. We have state of the art equipment and jigs that are normally only found in the largest rebuilding shops (south of the border). In fact, there are only 5 piano businesses across Canada with the grand regulating equipment we travel with. We’ve been able to complete complex rebuilding projects involving high performance grand action rebuilds even while being "off the grid". On other occasions we’ve functioned as a 'hospital' performing 'triage' to rescue pianos to extend their useful life. So what is our “mobile service" about? It is about..
